From September 16 to 18, 2025, the campus in Jena once again transformed into a colorful world of discovery: the science festival focusing on mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology entered its fourth edition. Around 2,000 students per day from over 90 schools in Thuringia, Hesse, Bavaria, and Saxony seized the opportunity to experience science up close.
GAMPT contributed to a workshop with its two ultrasound sets EchoSet and ImageSet, allowing participants to explore the fascination of ultrasound technology:
-
With the EchoSet, they investigated fundamental phenomena of ultrasound physics and its technical applications in medicine and industry.
-
With the ImageSet, they gained insights into the creation of ultrasound B-mode images and learned the basics of sonographic fetometry.
The workshop was held five times in total – four times with eighth-grade classes and once with a ninth-grade class. The great interest and enthusiasm of the young visitors clearly demonstrated that hands-on science is not only fun but also an engaging way to discover how exciting technology can be.
