Hydrophone Power Supply

The SF720 power supply is used to power all GAMPT membrane hydrophones and the small preamplifiers for sound field measurements. The power supply delivers a symmetrical voltage of +/- 8V and a maximum current of +/- 200 mA (max. 10 watts). An interference-free power supply is particularly important for the hydrophones. The power supply therefore consists of a small switching power supply with an input voltage range of 90-250 VAC (mains voltage) and a downstream LDO regulator circuit with 8V fixed voltage regulators and output filter. For effective suppression of the switching pulses of the built-in power supply, a change in layout, a good earth connection and optimum cable routing are required on the circuit board.
