At the International Symposium on Piezocomposite Applications (ISPA) in Dresden, industry experts came together to discuss the latest developments in piezocomposite technologies and their wide range of applications – from medical ultrasound and non-destructive testing (NDT) to sonar, sensors, and actuators.
We took the opportunity to present our hydrophones, measurement setups, and measurement services, with a particular focus on our expertise in the standardized characterization of piezoelectric ceramics and composites.
Our technical presentation covered the entire development process, from the initial characterization of the piezoelectric material to the finished transducer. We demonstrated how individual manufacturing steps and components – such as electrical contacting, housing, matching layers, backing, and damping – can influence the material properties measured at the initial stage.
Another key focus was on the relevant standards and measurement requirements, as well as suitable measurement setups and hydrophone solutions. These provide an essential basis for achieving reliable, comparable, and reproducible measurement results.
In this way, we demonstrated how we support research and industry throughout the entire development process: with in-depth expertise in piezoelectric materials and transducers, many years of practical measurement experience, and tailored solutions for the characterization and evaluation of piezoelectric systems.
For us, ISPA provided a valuable platform for professional exchange and new insights into the development and application of modern piezocomposite technologies.
